Besides, the point of me bringing up the drama is because one of the characters said, "If you can't take it, work through three hours first". In my current situation and the resulting difficulty to concentrate, I was determined to try doing that. I don't really work long hours in the office, so three hours might not be feasible. I am trying with a one-hour countdown app on my desktop and I hope it works - so that I can fully devote that one hour to my work without interruption. Then, I am hoping to come back with fresh ideas!!!
The glass is clear, colourless, breakable. The snow is white, soft and cold. If you have time to sit down and sip a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day or to sip a glass of ice tea in a hot afternoon, look into life and out to the world around you. If you don't, it's a break worth taking.

My Apology!
Hi, I realize that I've been neglecting this blog for quite a while (Maybe neglecting is an understatement). Life has been throwing me grenades, so, yeah, I was forced to hide in the bunker. Haha. Anyways, I've been watching this awesome Japanese drama called "Honey and Clover". Sweet! That was my idea of "Sweet, sweet dreams, sweetheart" which is yet to materialize -.-;

Sweet, Sweet Dreams, Sweetheart (preface)
Disney tells you that a dream is a wish your heart makes. We make wishes, consciously or unconsciously. We have dreams. Sweet, Sweet Dreams, Sweetheart is a collection of dreams, in diary entries, letters, emails, chats, phone conversations, or just...dreams. It's sweet, and like a dessert, it might be too sweet to some people's liking. But oh well, it is nice to end a meal with a lovely dessert that you can't always have :)

Mayday! (and poverty)
Why does Labour Day holiday have to be on the first of May?
This results in my temporary poverty which will last until Monday 2pm because:
1. This month's pay was paid in cheque - which will only be added to my account on the next clearing day (Monday...)how depressing!
2. My part-time job salary which is supposed to be paid on the 1st of the month is delayed till the next working day...which is...Monday
3. I deposited this months savings (in coins) today and it will only be added to my account on...Monday
All because tomorrow, 1st of May, is Labour day. Why can't it be on the 5th May instead?
Ah, long weekend spent in virtual poverty. How saddening - though not as sad as real poverty. I hope I will learn my lesson through this painful long weekend...
Speaking of which, I am going to explore on the theme of 'relative poverty' in the next story, which will probably be an ongoing series. Anyway, that should come after the continuation of "A Tempestuous Journey Home", which will be ready by...Monday!
When poverty strikes, don't go out. Finish your work. ~ Mel

Arthur and Grace
I got carried away editing the short story "Reasons" and decided to give a lot more depth to the characters. So, you will definitely see more short stories about Arthur, Grace, their friends and their daily lives coming.
My First Post
Since this is the first post (which was published second due to technical issue...), I would like to welcome all of you to my new blog: The Glass, The Snow. This blog will be a place where I express my thoughts and feelings in various ways, mainly through writing. There will be a few ongoing short novels and a number of independent short stories, so don't get confused. I will do my best to organize them in the most reader-friendly manner.
Again, unless otherwise stated, the content published in this blog is mine.
Enough of this nonsense. I have largely chosen themes that are universal so that everyone can truly feel with me the joy of living. Hope you enjoy reading...Comments and feedback are most welcome!
